She looked at him when he said that, she believed that now, knowing how he was when it came to his son, as she felt a bit hopeless now as she was just looking at him..

Candy: Oh..

She said as she wasn't sure really what to say as she looked down a moment then back up at him.

Candy: So what do you want of me?  Am I your new servant?.

He shook his head.

"You will be my new wife. You will join the others and as long as you do what you are supposed to do, you will be well treated."

She looked at him shocked when he said that, as she wasn't really the marrying kind, which was why she took the job she did, as she heard him say she would take her place with the others, and didn't care for that either.

Candy: I'm not the marrying type... 

He shrugged and looked at her.

"You are now. We'll be married this evening before dinner. You get some rest. You have a big evening...and night...ahead of you."

She looked at him when he said that , she watched him turn to go as she got out of bed looking around a bit, she stumbled a bit still weak, but made her way to the window , looking out it, wanting to find away out as she was tempted to try to climb out the window..

Steven came back into the room with a dress for her and saw her at the window. He pointed to the chain on her ankle.

"You wouldn't get very far. And you'd be hanging around out there for awhile."

She had felt it already which was just a reason she was just leaning against it looking out, she felt sad as he came up to her, putting his arms around her.

Candy: This isn't right... You have so many women, you don't need me.

He shook his head.

"You are the one that I want the most. If you asked, I would send all of the others away."

She looked at him when he said that... She could free the other women... She nodded her head after a moment.. 

Candy: Let them go... 

He nodded and smiled.

"Once we are married, I will send them to the village."

If it meant helping them, then she would do it... She nodded her head as she was thinking about it.

Candy: Alright...

He leaned down to kiss her and frowned when she turned her head.

"Pleasea don't do that, Candy."

She turned her head looking at him, as she knew she had to play things her way.

Candy: Sorry this is just going to take a lot to get use too..

He understood what she was saying. He kissed her softly.

"You will be fine. Someday you will even be happy. You will see."

She looked at him nodding a bit she didn't know if that was true or not, everything was happening so fast, she had almost died, and then she was given away as a gift , and now she was going to be getting married.

He looked at the door when someone came in. He smiled and nodded when a small package was put on the table.

"A wedding gift for you from the king."

She looked at it a bit shocked..

Candy: Should save it for tomorrow then.

She said since they were getting married then..

He shook his head.

"He will be expecting a thank you message sent back tonight."

She just nodded a bit as she started to open it, doing as she was told..

He sat beside her and smiled when he saw the necklace that had been so carefully wrapped in the paper.

"That is a very generous gift."

She looked at it shocked... She didn't expect that, and didn't know why the King would give her something like this..

Candy: Why would he give me something like this..

She said figuring she meant nothing to him , if he was so willing to just give her away..

He shrugged.

"Because he is actually a great king. Henry is a very nice young man."

She sat there thinking about it, she had thought he was nice, but nice people don't sale other people like human cattle.

Candy: Yeah..

She said simply..

He frowned and sighed.

"Go. I don't want you after all. You're free to go."

He grabbed the contract from the dresser and tore it up.

He went over to the window and looked out.

"Go before I change my mind."

She looked at him when he said that.

Candy: You have no idea what it's like to be in the spot that I am in... You are use to getting what you want all the time, if you can't get it one way you take it, just like you did the girls from that Inn..

She said as he looked at her knowing that he was right, he had power and wealth..

Candy: I've been a servant and a slave all my life.. Forced to use my body to make my masters happy... When King Henry recived me, he was no different until he meant his wife then started to change... I started to respect him, then he did just what all my owners have done, sold me like I'm nothing.. Maybe I'm just tired of meaning nothing.. but then I guess I should of known better, I'll never be more than just a worthless slave..

She said as she turned back away from him, not wanting him to see her tears thinking about how her life had been...

He sighed and shook his head even though she couldn't see him.

"He wasn't the one who sold you to me. His brother did. I saved Prince Edward from drowning when he fell in the river. Prince Carter signed the papers giving you to me. Not King Henry. King Henry knows nothing about it other than I saved his son and the necklace to my bride was his thank you."

She shivered when she said Prince carter, as she rubbed her arm a bit thinking about all the cruel things he had done to her and made her do in his chambers.

Candy: Oh...

He looked over at her and saw her shiver.

"I know what he did to you, Candy. It was why I asked for you when he asked me what I wanted for payment. I wasn't going to take anything, but I didn't want to see him keep hurting you."

She was rather shocked when he said that as she looked up at him. 

Candy: Thank you.

He turned back to the window.

"You are free to go. I won't force you to stay."

She stood there thinking about it..

Candy: I'll stay...

She said as she saw him turn around and smile, seeing she was willingly wanting to stay.

He moved toward her and took her hands in his.

"Are you sure it is what you want?"

She nodded as she looked at him as she was thinking about it.

Candy: Yes, I'm sure....

He kissed her softly.

"Will you still be my wife?"

She nodded as she thought about it.

Candy: Yes...

That made him happy.

"You won't regret it. I promise."

She smiled a bit when he said that as she was thinking about it, hoping he didn't' tire of her...

Candy: I'll try to be a good wife. ...

He ran his thumb lightly over her cheek and smiled.

"You are already the most beautiful one that I have had."

She smiled a bit when he said that as she was thinking about it.

Candy: Thank you...

He smiled and looked at her.

"Would you like help with your dress?"

She nodded a bit as she was still healing a bit and had a hard time moving around a lot....

He helped her undressed then helped her wash off a bit before he helped her into her wedding dress.

"I won't tie it tight. I don't want you to be in pain."

She moved a bit so he could help her into the dress as she turned a bit looking at him when he was done.

Candy: Thank you.

He kissed her softly then smiled.

"You look beautiful."

She blushed a bit as she looked at him thinking about it... Thinking about what he was getting into marrying her.

She said looking down.

{Candy}- I can't cook, never really learned to clean...
